Report: Netflix, luxury theater chain ink movie deal

NetflixInc. and luxury theater chain iPic Entertainment agreed to screenoriginal Netflix movies in theaters and on the streaming service on the sameday, The Wall Street Journal reportedOct. 4.

In 2017, Netflix movies will be shown in iPic theaters inLos Angeles and New York City, with an option of playing the movies at iPic's13 other locations or independent theaters.

While financial details of the arrangement were notdisclosed, Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos said the deal covers 10movies and could be extended.
