Hard Off Corp. Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was ¥11.49 per share, a decrease of 13.0% from ¥13.21 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥155.0 million, a decrease of 13.0% from ¥178.1 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 3.9% from 5.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 26.1% year over year to ¥3.99 billion from ¥3.17 billion, and total operating expenses increased 30.3% year over year to ¥3.77 billion from ¥2.89 billion.
Reported net income grew 62.3% on an annual basis to ¥198.0 million, or ¥14.68 per share, from ¥122.0 million, or ¥9.05 per share.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
