Shareholders of Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust Inc. re-elected all of the shopping center REIT's directors at the company's annual general meeting.

The directors will serve until the next annual meeting and until their successors are duly elected and qualified, the company said in an Oct. 9 release.

Shareholder Stilwell Group had nominated three directors to the board. In a letter to the shareholders following the meeting, Joseph Stilwell condemned the results and said his company would continue to push for changes in the following year.

Proxy advisers Institutional Shareholder Services and Glass Lewis had recommended shareholders vote for Wheeler's candidates at the meeting.
