Italy's CartaSi names new chairman of the board

Marco Bassilichi was appointed as CartaSi SpA's chairman of the board, replacing Franco Bernabè, according to a July 27 statement.

The latter is chairman of the board at CartaSi's majority owner, Istituto Centrale delle Banche Popolari Italiane SpA, which acquired Bassilichi's company Bassilichi SpA on July 3.

Milan-based CartaSi offers services such as savings and loans, foreign exchange, credit cards, pension and insurance to retail and corporate customers.
