Fitch Ratings on Aug. 7 affirmed Banco Múltiple Ademi SA's A(dom) long- and F1(dom) short-term national ratings, respectively. The outlook for the long-term rating is stable.
The bank's national ratings are based on its profile, which considers its limited business franchise and business model specializing in microfinance. They also reflect its good quality portfolio, stable levels of profitability and adequate capitalization.
While the bank is one of the main players in Dominican Republic's microfinance market, its business model of greater risk and its small size can raise its vulnerability to external factors and the general operating environment, Fitch said.
