The ECB's microprudential supervisory director general, Jukka Vesala, resigned, a spokeswoman told Reuters.
Vesala, who joined the central bank's supervisory unit in 2014 and was responsible for smaller banks, will leave for an undisclosed job starting mid-April 2018, the newswire wrote. He will spend a cooling-off period working for the ECB on areas not related to monetary policy or supervision of banks.
