Repsol closes deal to sell 20% stake in Gas Natural SDG for €3.82B

Spanish energy company Repsol SA said in a May 18 notice that it has completed the sale of its 20.07% stake of Gas Natural SDG SA valued at €3.82 billion, to Rioja Bidco Shareholdings SLU, a company controlled by funds advised by CVC Capital Partners Ltd.

Approximately 200,858,658 shares were sold at an equivalent €19 per share. The sale of the block was expected to generate €400 million in consolidated capital gain for Repsol.
