WellCare Health Plans Inc. CEO Ken Burdick and Executive Vice President and CFO Drew Asher will hold executive leadership roles in Centene Corp. after the completion of the companies' merger.

Burdick will be employed for a two-year term.

The deal is expected to close by the first half of 2020, subject to approval by the companies' shareholders and other customary closing conditions.
