Sipa ResourcesLtd. said April 4 that a reverse circulation and aircore drilling programis set to start this week at the Akelikongo and Pamwa prospects of its project in Uganda.
At the Akelikongo prospect, drilling is planned to test the sparselydrilled shallow area between two specific drill holes where the Akelikongo UltramaficComplex comes to surface and is represented by a strong in situ soil anomaly.
According to the miner, the closer-spaced infill drilling inthe said area will help with the definition and understanding of the controls ofthe higher grade footwall massive sulfide mineralization, and assist further targeting.
Meanwhile, further shallow drilling of a number of anomalieswill be conducted at the Pamwa prospect, targeting five other zinc plus lead soilpeaks greater than 500 parts per million, which were untested by previous drilling.
Sipa also said drilling at the Obelisk target of its new PatersonNorth project in Western Australia is set to follow early in the second half ofthe year and that it intends to apply for the state government's Exploration IncentiveScheme to help with the drill program's funding.
The Paterson North project was formed after Sipa to earn up to an 80%interest in the Great Sandy copper-gold project from Ming Gold Ltd. The Great Sandyproject and Sipa's Anketell tenement comprise the Paterson North project.
