TransAlta's series B preferred shares begin trading on TSX

TransAltaCorp. said it has listed 1,824,620 series B preferred shares on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Theshares began trading on the TSX under the symbol TA.PR.E March 31.

In early March, the company gave an to holders of its 12 millionseries A preferred stock to convert their shares, on a 1-for-1 basis, intoseries B preferred stock. In response, holders tendered 1,824,620 shares forconversion.

Following the conversion,the company now has 10,175,380 series A shares and 1,824,620 series B sharesissued and outstanding.
