Centaurus Metals Ltd. kicked off its maiden drilling program at its wholly owned Pebas copper-gold project in northern Brazil, it said Sept. 10.

The 2,000-meter program will test multiple copper-gold targets that were not tested by previous drilling, namely Tucunaré, Surubim and Filhote. Historical diamond drilling returned broad zones of lower-grade mineralization with localized high-grade intersections of up to 3.74% copper and 0.47 g/t of gold.
