Zurich Australia Ltd. appointed Tim Plant CEO of general insurance for Australia and New Zealand, Insurance Business Australia reported July 6.

He is expected to start in the first week of August, the report said.

Plant will join Zurich from icare, where he is group executive of insurance for the Australian state of New South Wales.
