The Federal Housing Finance Agency's latest monthly house price index showed house prices in the U.S. inched up 0.4% month over month in October on a seasonally adjusted basis.
Year over year, house prices rose 6.2% during the month. The previously reported 0.6% growth in September was the same.
The East South Central division logged a 0.6% drop in monthly prices from September, while the Mountain division recorded a 1.2% increase. For the 12-month period, all nine census divisions saw an upward movement, with the Mountain division experiencing the largest gain at 8.3%.
