Zurich Insurance Group AG appointed Saad Mered CEO of Zurich Canada, effective Oct. 1.

Mered is currently chief claims officer for Zurich Insurance Group. In his new role he will report to Zurich North America CEO Kathleen Savio.

He will also be assuming the chief agent role of Zurich Canada from David Levinson, who will work together with Mered during the transition.
