Amazon.com Inc.will fill gaps in its Prime Same Day service to include zip codes that are excludedcurrently.
Amazon currently provides the service in 27 cities and said thatit will provide its same-day delivery service to every zip code of these citiessoon, Bloomberg News reported May 6. Amazon also said that it will not launch AmazonPrime Same Day Service in any new regions until it is able to ensure that each zipcode has a carrier.
Recently, Amazon came under attack for allegedly excluding certainminority neighborhoods from using the service. According to the report, racial disparitywas found in various cities where the service was offered, though Amazon deniedthat race played a factor in determining service boundaries.
