Boston-based Eastern Bank makes personnel changes

Eastern Bank named Barbara Heinemann head of consumer banking with direct responsibility for its retail and mortgage business and its customer service center.

Heinemann, an executive vice president at Eastern since 2008, previously served as senior director of enterprise risk management.

Also, the Boston-based bank announced the promotion of Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer Steven Antonakes to director of enterprise risk management.

Both appointments are effective Sept. 1.

The bank is a unit of Eastern Bank Corp.
