Truett-Hurst fiscal Q3 loss narrows YOY

Truett-Hurst Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended March 31 was a loss of $16,880, compared with a loss of $72,630 in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin increased to negative 0.3% from negative 1.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased year over year to $4.9 million from $4.7 million, and total operating expenses declined from the prior-year period to $4.9 million from $5.0 million.

Reported net income totaled a loss of $93,000, or a loss of 2 cents per share, compared to a loss of $233,000, or a loss of 6 cents per share, in the prior-year period.
