San Francisco-based Williams-Sonoma Inc. said Oct. 11 that Pottery Barn Kids Inc., the company's specialty retailer for children's home furnishings, will expand into the U.K. market with the launch of an e-commerce site and three retail outlets beginning mid-October.

Williams-Sonoma said potterybarnkids.co.uk will offer a selection of home furnishings and textiles for babies and kids.

In addition, the company said Pottery Barn Kids will open three branded shop-in-shops at John Lewis & Partners department store locations at Oxford Street, Peter Jones and Stratford City in London.

To mark its debut in Britain, Pottery Barn Kids will offer an exclusive collection of West Elm x Pottery Barn Kids nursery furnishings and decor.

The launch of Pottery Barn Kids in London marks Williams-Sonoma's second European wholesale venture with John Lewis after launching West Elm in 2015.
