Brazil's BTG Pactual opens 1st office in Portugal

Brazilian investment bank Banco BTG Pactual SA has opened an office in Lisbon, marking its entry into Portugal as part of a strategy to expand its footprint across Europe, InvestmentEurope reported.

The bank reportedly told Portuguese media outlets that it will also cater to clients from other European countries through the new Lisbon office, offering services such as heritage planning, portfolio management and corporate advisory, among others.

Ricardo Borgerth, a partner at BTG, will manage the bank's operations in Portugal, according to the report.

According to S&P Global Market Intelligence data, BTG has one branch each in Italy, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Ukraine and the U.K.
