Extended Stay America Inc. unit ESH Hospitality Inc. director Richard Wallman will resign from the company's board, effective at its next annual shareholder meeting.

Wallman will resign in order to meet new overboarding guidelines issued by proxy advisor firms, and his resignation was not due to any disagreement with the company.

Wallman will, however, remain a member of Extended Stay America's board of directors.
