ZipRecruiter Inc., an online employment marketplace, raised $156 million in capital in its series B financing round.

Investment manager Wellington Management Co. LLP and private equity and venture capital firm Institutional Venture Partners co-led the fund, alongside other participating existing investors.

The fund is expected to expedite the company's growth and support its investment in artificial intelligence-powered matching technology and mobile apps.

The latest round brings the Santa Monica, Calif.-based hiring platform's total capital to $219 million.
