New York Community Bancorp amends bylaws

Westbury, N.Y.-based New York Community Bancorp Inc.'s board on Dec. 20 adopted amendments to the company's bylaws to amend the existing provisions of "proxy access," which would allow eligible stockholders to include their own nominees for director in the company's proxy materials along with the board-nominated candidates.
