Target Corp. on Jan. 19 said it promoted Rick Gomez to executive vice president and chief marketing officer, effective Jan. 29.

Gomez will be reporting to Brian Cornell, the general merchandise retailer's chairman and CEO.

Prior to joining Target in 2013, Gomez held several roles at PepsiCo Inc., Quaker Oats Co. and MillerCoors LLC.
