Simon Gaffney will join McGill & Partners Ltd. as chief information officer, The Insurance Insider reported.

Gaffney most recently was COO at Pioneer Underwriters. His departure was partly due to Pioneer's realignment to a managing general agency-only model, according to an earlier report by the news outlet.

McGill & Partners declined The Insurance Insider's request for comment.
