Nexus Gold plans 2,000-meter drill program at Bouboulou concession

Nexus Gold Corp. said Oct. 6 that it has contracted Falcon Drilling Burkina Faso SARL for an upcoming drill program at the Bouboulou gold concession in Burkina Faso, which is expected to total 2,000 meters in the initial phase.

The company launched exploration activities at the site in early September, and immediate work included data compilation, geological mapping, drill hole mapping and selection, ground confirmation and rock and core geochemical resampling.

Nexus Gold also recently received results on eight grab samples taken from artisanal workings of the four known gold zones on the property. Six of the eight samples yielded values including 2.8 g/t of gold and 5.5 g/t of gold, respectively, at Bouboulou 2. The company plans further sampling in and around the historical drill holes and the newly observed artisanal zone.

The company in July entered into a definitive agreement with Bureau D'Etudes des Geosciences et de L'Environnement to earn up to a 100% interest in the Bouboulou concession.
