Mineral Deposits: Production starts at TiZir facility in Norway

Mineral Deposits Ltd. said Feb. 1 that it kicked off chloride titanium slag and high-purity pig iron production at its TiZir titanium and iron ilmenite upgrading facility in Norway using ilmenite from the Grande Côte property in Senegal.

The ramp up continues as expected following the furnace restart on Jan. 7.

The facility, together with the property, forms part of a joint venture with France's Eramet.

Shipments of chloride slag are expected to resume in early April, according to the statement.
