Scientific Metals Corp. completed the acquisition of 58 unpatented lode mining claims totaling 1,160 acres that are contiguous with its Iron Creek copper-cobalt project in Idaho.

The company acquired 100% of the issued and outstanding shares of Idaho Cobalt Co. by issuing 10.0 million common shares, it said Oct. 3, after entering the agreement in mid-September. The transaction is subject to final approval by the TSX Venture Exchange.

Scientific Metals now holds 65 lode mining claims totaling 1,297 acres in the Idaho cobalt belt.
