Amorepacific Group said its first-quarter normalized net income was 652.90 South Korean won per share, a decrease of 20.1% from 816.93 won per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 54.37 billion won, a decrease of 20.1% from 68.06 billion won in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin fell to 3.8% from 6.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 26.7% year over year to 1.444 trillion won from 1.140 trillion won, and total operating expenses increased 21.3% year over year to 1.123 trillion won from 925.79 billion won.
Reported net income decreased 7.4% year over year to 94.76 billion won, or 1,138.00 won per share, from 102.29 billion won, or 1,227.82 won per share.
As of May 15, US$1 was equivalent to 1,083.65 South Korean won.
