Annual core inflation in the eurozone was 0.9% in August, little changed from July, according to the final data from Eurostat.
The latest reading matched the preliminary estimate and the Econoday consensus estimate, both at 0.9%.
The measure, which excludes energy, food, alcohol and tobacco, rose 0.2% on a monthly basis.
Annual headline price growth was 1.0%, unchanged from July. Annual energy prices declined 0.6% in August after increasing an annual 0.5% in the previous month. Prices of food, alcohol and tobacco rose 2.1%, up from 1.9% in July.
On a monthly basis, headline inflation ticked up 0.1%.
Within the bloc, Italian core inflation grew 0.6% and headline inflation edged up 0.5% on a yearly basis in August.
