Shailesh Rao, who has served as senior adviser to TPG Growth and The Rise Fund for India and Southeast Asia since late 2017, will assume the newly created role of head of TPG Growth and The Rise Fund.

Rao will also join the boards of BookMyShow and Fourth Partner Energy, which are portfolio companies of TPG Growth, with the appointment.

TPG Growth is global alternative asset manager TPG's middle-market and growth equity platform. It has about $13.2 billion of assets under management.
