Plains All American Pipeline LP said Dan Nerbonne, executive vice president of operations and engineering, died Dec. 31, 2018.

"The impact of Dan's contributions to the partnership will extend for generations to come," Plains All American GP LLC CEO and Director Willie Chiang said in a Jan. 4 SEC filing. "Most importantly, Dan was a man of character and integrity who always strived to do the right thing; he will be greatly missed."

Plains GP Holdings LP Senior Vice President of Operations Phil Smith will assume Nerbonne's position on an interim basis.

Plains operates midstream energy infrastructure in the U.S. and Canada, including pipeline, storage and gathering assets for crude oil, NGLs and natural gas.
