Unitil sells $30M of notes in private placement

Unitil Corp. sold $30 million of 3.43% senior notes, series 2019, due Dec. 18, 2029, to institutional buyers in a private placement.

Proceeds from the sale will be used to make capital contributions to utility subsidiaries, to refinance existing short-term debt and for general corporate purposes.

American Equity Investment Life Insurance Co., The Guardian Life Insurance Co. of America, Berkshire Life Insurance Co. of America and The Guardian Insurance & Annuity Co. Inc. are the buyers of the notes.
