The LondonMetal Exchange said July 19 that ring trading will continue fromits emergency site until July 22 after structural faults in its building onFinsbury Square forced the shutdown of its offices on July 17.
The LME temporarily moved open outcry trading to itsdisaster recovery site in Chelmsford, east of London, for July 18 and 19.
"In the interests of safety, the landlord of 10Finsbury Square has closed the building while a comprehensive assessment isundertaken as recommended by a team of structural engineering firms," theexchange said in a notice to market.
All trading, clearing and other systems will continue normaloperations.
