Ajisen Holdings swings to loss in H1

Ajisen (China) Holdings Ltd. said its first-half normalized net income came to a loss of HK$8.3 million, compared with income of HK$82.2 million in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

Total revenue fell on an annual basis to HK$1.21 billion from HK$1.27 billion, and total operating expenses decreased 5.2% on an annual basis to HK$1.08 billion from HK$1.14 billion.

Reported net income grew year over year to HK$575.1 million, or 53 cents per share, from HK$88.5 million, or 8 cents per share.
