Walmart's Sam's Club rolls out Instacart delivery

Walmart Inc.-owned Sam's Club said Feb. 27 that it partnered with San Francisco-based Instacart to launch a same-day grocery delivery service in the cities of Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth in Texas and St. Louis, Mo.

The membership-only retailer said it plans to expand the service to additional locations across the U.S. throughout 2018 and onward.

Customers of the delivery service provider will also have access to Sam's Club stores without a membership.

The announcement came a month after Target Corp. was reported to be ending its partnership with Instacart after the general merchandise retailer purchased same-day delivery platform Shipt.
