Italian industrial new orders declined 1.3% in April, after seasonal adjustments, as activity declined in the domestic and nondomestic markets, data from the National Institute of Statistics showed.
April's reading follows a 0.5% increase in March.
For the three months that ended in April, new orders were down 2.9%, compared with the prior three-month period.
The seasonally adjusted turnover index gained 0.3% in April from the prior month. It was down 0.6% for the three months to April, compared with the previous three months.
