FERC OKs Black Hills request to acquire 80-MW wind farm in Iowa

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approved Black Hills Electric Generation LLC's request to acquire the 80-MW Top of Iowa Wind Farm in Worth County, Iowa. Financial terms were not disclosed.

An Olympus Power LLC subsidiary will divest its ownership of the wind facility, whose output is being sold into markets administered by the Midcontinent ISO.

Black Hills Electric Generation is a subsidiary of Black Hills Corp., while Olympus Power, a private independent power company, is a subsidiary of Olympus Holdings LLC. (FERC docket EC19-24)
