CNH Industrial NV said its normalized net income for the second quarter was 17 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 16 cents per share.
EPS rose 25.3% year over year from 13 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $226.9 million, a gain of 25.5% from $180.8 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 3.4% from 2.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed year over year to $6.66 billion from $6.45 billion, and total operating expenses climbed from the prior-year period to $6.21 billion from $6.04 billion.
Reported net income increased 80.4% year over year to $246.1 million, or 18 cents per share, from $136.4 million, or 9 cents per share.
