Giyani submits environmental management plan for K.Hill manganese prospect

Giyani Metals Corp. completed the environmental management plan for its K.Hill manganese prospect in Botswana and submitted it to the department of environmental affairs.

A review of the K.Hill plan will complete in about two months, the company said Dec. 31, 2018.

Following approval, the company will start rehabilitation work to clean up the surface stockpiles and mitigate the existing physical and environmental risks left by old mining operations at K.Hill as soon as practicably possible.

Giyani also plans to submit two additional environmental management plans, one for each of the Otse and Lobatse prospects, in January.

Meanwhile, Scott Breard resigned from the company's board, effective Dec. 31, 2018.

In late-September, Giyani defined an inferred resource for the K.Hill deposit of 1.1 million tonnes grading 31.2% manganese oxide, using a cutoff grade of 18% manganese oxide.
