Report: Shell refinery unit in Netherlands offline after crude spill

Royal Dutch Shell PLC shut a unit at its Pernis oil refinery in the Netherlands on Dec. 9 following a crude spill, Reuters reported.

The report said the company did not identify the unit, but industry monitor Genscape said the refinery's 200,000 barrel per day crude unit was affected.

The refinery is the largest in Europe and has a capacity of over 400,000 bbl/d.
