Kroger Cincinnati-Dayton staff ratify agreement with labor union

Kroger Co. said March 9 that employees at its stores in Cincinnati, Dayton, Northern Kentucky and surrounding areas ratified their labor contract with the company with The United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 75.

The agreement increases starting wages to at least $10 per hour and up to $11 an hour after one year of service, plus a premium increase for night shifts.

The Cincinnati-based retailer said it is the first contract under Restock Kroger, a plan that aims to invest an incremental $500 million in associate wages, training and development over the next three years.
