Metals Exploration PLC said Oct. 9 that processing operations at the Runruno gold-molybdenum mine in the Philippines will run at 80% of design capacity in October and November due to technical issues.
The company identified an issue with the mine scheduling software used for Runruno operations, which resulted in an underestimation of the amount of waste to be stripped to access stage-two ore in the pit.
The delay in accessing known ore positions altered the mix of ore types and restricted ore supply to the processing plant.
Metals Exploration is working to optimize operations after resolving the software issues and expects to resume full processing operations in December.
