Halliburton grosses $1.25 billion from debt offering

Halliburton Co. raised gross proceeds of $1.25 billion from an offering of 2.700% senior unsecured notes due Nov. 15, 2020.

The company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes or working capital, investment in securities, and acquisitions or investments.

Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith Inc. and Mizuho Securities USA LLC were the lead underwriters.

Barclays Capital Inc., BBVA Securities Inc., DNB Markets Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Lloyds Securities Inc., MUFG Securities Americas Inc., Scotia Capital (USA) Inc., SMBC Nikko Securities America Inc., Standard Chartered PLC, U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc. and Wells Fargo Securities LLC also served as underwriters for the offering.
