Talos Energy's Q2 net income rebounds YOY

Houston-based oil and gas producer Talos Energy Inc. reported a second-quarter GAAP net income of $94.8 million, or $1.74 per share, up significantly from the net loss of $74.9 million, or $1.69 per share, posted for the same period in 2018.

Second-quarter revenue totaled $286.8 million, increasing from $203.9 million a year ago.

Total average net daily volume came in at 59,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in the second quarter, while the company's average realized price came in at $51.83/boe for the period.

Talos Energy became publicly traded following its acquisition of Stone Energy Corp. on May 10, 2018.
