Diamond Bank PLC named Oluseyi Bickersteth chairman of its board of directors and an independent nonexecutive director, with approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria, effective June 26.

He replaces Chris Ogbechie, who retired from the Nigerian bank's board in March, following the completion of his tenure. Bickersteth is chairman of KPMG's Africa practice and national senior partner of its Nigerian practice.
