AmTrust Financial Services Inc. appointed Robert Schwarz as chief accounting officer and senior vice president, who joined the company in April.
Schwarz comes to the firm from Assurant Inc., where he most recently worked as vice president and assistant controller. Schwarz will be the company's first-ever chief accounting officer.
The company has made a series of personnel changes within its financial team over the past year, AmTrust said. Evan Greenstein was made global treasurer and senior vice president in April 2016. Greenstein previously worked as deputy treasurer at American International Group Inc. Rohit Sood joined the company in February as head of investment accounting. Most recently, Sood was director of investment accounting for W. R. Berkley Corp. Zachary Wolf, who previously worked as vice president of strategic development, was promoted to deputy CFO and senior vice president in February.
AmTrust also said Janice Hamilton will be named CFO of two of the company's subsidiaries, AmTrust International and AmTrust at Lloyd's. Hamilton most recently worked as CFO of ANV Syndicates Ltd. prior to AmTrust's acquisition of ANV Holdings BV in November 2016.
The insurer's financial reporting group also includes Jeffrey Mayer, global chief actuary, Isaac Mashitz, chief pricing actuary, and Stephen Knobloch, chief reserving actuary.
Schwarz's appointment comes after the company previously failed to submit its 2016 Form 10-K on time, leading it to receive delisting notices from NYSE and Nasdaq Stock Market. The company filed its annual report April 4, putting the company back in compliance with both stock exchanges.
