The board of China Construction Bank Corp. elected Michel Madelain an independent nonexecutive director for a three-year term, subject to the approval of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission.

Wang Yongqing was also elected a shareholder representative supervisor of the bank, according to an Oct. 30 release.
