Gazprom Q3 profit falls YOY

PJSC Gazprom said its normalized net income for the third quarter was 65 kopecks per share, a decline of 39.3% from 1.07 rubles per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 14.97 billion rubles, a decline of 39.3% from 24.66 billion rubles in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 1.2% from 2.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 14.0% on an annual basis to 1.293 trillion rubles from 1.134 trillion rubles, and total operating expenses rose 5.5% year over year to 1.007 trillion rubles from 953.98 billion rubles.

Reported net income came to a loss of 2.00 billion rubles, or a loss of 9 kopecks per share, compared with income of 105.68 billion rubles, or 4.59 rubles per share, in the year-earlier period.

As of Jan. 19, US$1 was equivalent to 78.51 Russian rubles.
