Janney Montgomery Scott LLC made additions to its capital markets group following the acquisition of FIG Partners LLC.

FIG Partners CEO and co-founder Geoff Hodgson was named Janney's head of equities and investment banking. He will oversee institutional equity sales, trading and research, and equity capital markets and investment banking.

Matthew Veneri, former co-head of investment banking at FIG Partners, was named co-head of investment banking, alongside Cliff Booth, who has led Janney's investment banking group for four years. FIG Partners' former co-head of investment banking, Greg Gersack, was named head of equity capital markets.

Christopher Marinac was named director of research at Janney. Marinac held the same post at FIG Partners and was also a co-founder.

Dan Wantrobski was named associate director of research and remains Janney's technical strategist.
