Jumbo SA profit misses consensus by 21.0% in fiscal Q3

Jumbo SA said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended March 31 came to 7 euro cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 9 cents per share.

EPS rose 12.1% year over year from 6 cents.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €9.7 million, a gain of 12.1% from €8.6 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 9.2% from 9.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 11.5% year over year to €105.0 million from €94.2 million, and total operating expenses rose 10.5% from the prior-year period to €90.8 million from €82.1 million.

Reported net income increased 12.7% on an annual basis to €11.9 million, or 9 cents per share, from €10.5 million, or 8 cents per share.
